Retailers and Restaurateurs Invited to Leasing Opportunity Forum at Philadelphia International Airport

Philadelphia—May 31, 2011—Marketplace Philadelphia Management and Marketplace Development, in conjunction with the City of Philadelphia’s Division of Aviation, will host a leasing opportunity forum on June 14 at 9:30 a.m. at the Airport Marriott, 1 Arrivals Road, Philadelphia. Local, regional and national retailers, as well as quick service food operators and restaurateurs, are invited to learn about the leasing opportunities that are available in the concessions program at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL).
The purpose of the event is to discuss the retail and food/beverage program at PHL and to inform qualified food, beverage and retail operators of locations that will become available throughout all terminals, including the redevelopment of one of the Airport’s busiest Terminals, the commuter terminal, Terminal F. In addition, the Airport and Marketplace Philadelphia aim to facilitate communication and encourage business relationships and new jobs in Philadelphia.
The airport environment presents an exciting opportunity for merchants to benefit from captive passenger traffic and a strong demand for quality dining and retail. PHL gives merchants the potential to reach 30.7 million passengers each year not to mention over 20,000 employees who work at the Airport on a daily basis. New projects such as the recently completed Terminal E expansion and the D/E Connector, which have added a total of 13 new restaurants and shops to PHL, are always on the horizon. The current redevelopment of Terminal F will add up to 20 additional locations.
