See Fish Fly: Philadelphia International Airport Welcomes Legal Sea Foods
Philadelphia, PA May 13, 2010
PHILADELPHIA — May 13, 2010 — Visitors to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) will get a taste of the freshest seafood in town when PHL’s Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops debuts Legal Sea Foods in the B/C Connector on May 15.
The full-service, sit-down restaurant will bring approximately 75 new jobs to the airport.
Legal Sea Foods plans to serve a majority of the restaurant group’s signature menu items such as lobster, crab cakes, New England clam chowder, shrimp, salmon and a variety of sandwiches, salads and desserts. Legal Sea Foods also will offer a full wine and cocktail menu.
The company, which is celebrating its 60-year anniversary in 2010, started in Cambridge, Mass. as a seafood market and grew to a restaurant company with locations along the Eastern Seaboard. Legal Sea Foods, still family-owned, has a reputation for serving fish and shellfish with only the very highest levels of quality, freshness and flavor.
PHL’s new location marks the second Legal Sea Foods restaurant in the Philadelphia area, including the first unit at the King of Prussia Mall.
“We’re excited to offer our passengers great seafood in an upscale dining atmosphere,” said Clarence LeJeune, President of the Philadelphia Marketplace Food & Shops. “Legal Sea Foods is just a taste of what is to come in the next year at PHL, and we’re looking forward to adding even more merchants to our great restaurant and retail mix.”
