Philadelphia International Airport and AeroClinic to Offer Flu Shots


PHILADELPHIA — September 28, 2009

Flu shots will be administered by AeroClinic, the airport’s on-site health clinic, and cost $35 for passengers.  Shots will be administered in the B/C Connector in front of Brookstone and in AeroClinic’s A/B link location. Hours for flu vaccinations are Monday-Friday 7a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

PHL offers the following flu season tips for air travel passengers and employees:

  • Wash hands frequently and/or use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • Cough or sneeze into a tissue or the crook of your elbow to prevent spreading germs, especially when in close quarters, like an airplane.
  • Limit contact with others while sick to prevent spreading the flu: avoid travel if possible if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, and stay home from work if you are feeling ill.

AeroClinic, located in the A/B Link, is a convenient quick-care clinic that is available for travelers and airport workers in need of minor ill-care and well-care treatment. AeroClinic is staffed by nurse practitioners and physician assistants who see patients in 15-minute increments, on a first-come, first-served basis.
