HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS ARRIVE AT PHILADELPHIA MARKETPLACE

PHILADELPHIA — Dec. 1, 2015 — If you’re passing through Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) on your way home for the holidays this year, Philadelphia Marketplace is offering seasonal events and promotions to spread some holiday cheer.

From jewelry and fashion to tech and beauty, the retailers of PHL have something to offer everyone on your shopping list. Passengers can fulfill holiday wish lists at special gift tables outside of storefronts, available from 7 a.m.—10 p.m. in the B/C Connector and 7 a.m.—8 p.m. in the D/E Connector.

Travelers who do their holiday shopping at PHL have an opportunity to earn an exclusive gift with purchase. Shoppers that buy at least $150 of merchandise from any combination of Philadelphia Marketplace retailers will receive a free holiday keepsake ornament featuring an artistic take on the Philadelphia skyline. It will be available through Dec. 24, or while supplies last. To redeem the gift, guests must present receipts (must be from same day) at ROSTER, located in the B/C Connector.

Free gift wrapping will be available from 8 a.m.—9 p.m. from Dec. 1—23, and from 8 a.m.—6 p.m. on Dec. 24 in the B/C Connector. Passengers must present a receipt from a PHL retailer to get their gifts wrapped and ready to give.

“We hope our busy holiday travelers feel the spirit of the season this month at PHL,” said Mel Hannah, vice president and general manager of MarketPlace PHL, LLC.

Additionally, PHL’s Paradies Shops have partnered with the Liberty USO of Pennsylvania & Southern New Jersey for the Treat Our Troops program. Customers can purchase any item from Paradies to be directly donated to Liberty USO. Paradies Shops will also be collecting toy donations for Toys for Tots.

“Secret Santas” will be on the move in the terminals, handing out free gifts, donated by Philadelphia Marketplace merchants, to military personnel in uniform traveling through PHL as a “thank you” for their service.

The man himself, Santa, will be making a special appearance to greet PHL passengers Dec. 1—24 from 4—8 p.m., Dec. 10—24 from 11 a.m.—3 p.m. and Dec. 18—24 (B/C Baggage claim only) from 3—6 p.m.

Passengers can also hear the joyous sounds of carolers throughout the airport on the following dates:

•    Dec. 4 from 2—4 p.m.
•    Dec. 6 from 2—4 p.m.
•    Dec. 12 from 2—4 p.m.
•    Dec. 13 from 2—4 p.m.
