Q: Is smoking allowed inside the airport?

A: As of May 1, 2004, smoking anywhere within the terminal building complex is strictly prohibited. Be advised that once you pass through the security checkpoint, there are no designated smoking areas in the airport terminal concourse, gate areas, bars, or restaurants. In order to smoke, you must exit the building to the departing flights roadway sidewalk or the arriving flights roadway sidewalk.

A: Non-travelers can visit the Aviation Grill restaurant, located in the Airport's Marriott hotel.  The hotel is located via Terminal B bridge.

A: If you are taking the kids on vacation, we've got just the places to keep them playing around until your plane takes off. There is the Please Touch Museum's Children's Play Area located in concourses A-East and D. Your kids can learn, interact, and play!

Q: Where in the airport can I grab a bite to eat that is outside of security?

A: There is a Auntie Anne's pretzel and Dog's on the Fly location in BC Baggage claim.  A sit-down restaurant is located in the airport's Marriott hotel via Terminal B bridge.  All additional eateries are post security.


Q: What are the hours of operation for the Duty Free locations in Terminal A-West and A-East?

A: The main shop in Terminal A-West opens at  6 AM and closes at 10 AM.  We reopen the shop at 2:00 PM to service the European flights and close the store approximately 9 PM.

The main shop in A-East opens at 6 AM and closes at 9 PM.

One small store in A-West only opens for the European flights at night...2PM to 9PM.  The other small store in A-West opens at 6:00 AM and closes after the last departure around 9:30 PM.
